Born Robert Bartleh Cummings to Robert and Louise Cummings, Rob Zombie is an American singer, songwriter, actor, filmmaker, and record producer. However, having sold over 15 million albums worldwide and being a six-time grammy nominee, he is most famous for his musical capabilities.
Rob Zombie developed a passion for music through watching programs such as, ‘The Archies,’ ‘Groovy Ghoulies,’ and ‘The Monkees,’ which always featured a rock band. He started playing the guitar in kindergarten and didn’t put it down.
Rob’s music career began in the 1980s after starting a band called, ‘White Zombie.’ They had a large underground following as an independent group until signing with Geffen. They had their first hit single, ‘La Sexorcisto,’ in 1992 and secured gigs as opening acts for bands such as Megadeth, Anthrax, and Danzig.
White Zombie released a total of four albums together before going their separate ways in 1998 because they had outgrown each other. Their mentalities had changed, and they had different ideas about the direction they wanted the band to go. Rob went on to become a very successful solo artist; his first album ‘Hellbilly Deluxe’ was a unique fusion of hard rock and metal. It sold 121,000 copies during the first week of its release and reached number five on the Billboard 200.
Rob Zombie will be touring the USA in 2023; his first ten tour dates are below. You can find the rest of them here.
